In Becky’s words….
So in the before picture, I was 50 lbs heavier.
The old me in the first picture knew I needed to make changes because I felt physically exhausted, and mentally was trying to convince myself that maybe tomorrow or next Monday I would start “dieting “ and lose weight.
I really wanted to make a change but did not have the motivation at the time to do it. In early Jan 2021, I started working out with you at the gym.
I told myself that I was going to start by working out 3days a week, no excuses and I changed my nutrition at that time to strict paleo.
After a few months of small gains I went and saw Lindsay (St Vincent Sports Performance Nutritionist) and she convinced me that carbs were my friend, and balanced out my nutrition.
My bod pod in March of 2021 was eye opening my body fat composition was 45% of my body mass and fat free mass was 54 % 😳.
In July of 21, I did a second bod pod and my percentage of fat was 38.5 with a 62 % fat free mass.
I went from wearing those size 20 shorts in the before picture to a size 12.
I continue to make small gains, physically I feel better than I have ever, mentally I have gone from negative self talk to telling myself daily that I am a badass and am grateful for every gain that I make big or small.
I have also learned that short size really doesn’t matter. What truly matters is that I am aging strong and living a better healthier life than I have ever had before.
I am so grateful that I have found a community of people that are so supportive, and friendly. I truly look forward to coming and working out every day. ❤️.
